原風景
堺の町を歩いた。ふと気づくと あちこちに与謝野晶子の碑文がある。その中で印象に残ったのは次の二首である。
海こいし 潮の遠鳴り かぞへつつ，少女となりし 父母の家
ふるさとの 潮の遠音のわが胸に ひびくをおぼゆ 初夏の雲
晶子は「潮の音」を原風景のスウィチャーとして持っており，イメージから故郷の海への憬れを思い描いたようである。
人は誰でもこれまでの人生で感じてきた独自の原風景を持っている。私はさしずめ「夕日とたなびく雲」であろう。
夏のとんぼ取りの帰り道，自転車に乗った冬の通学路，春の夕暮れ，秋の夕暮れ，などなど。
夕暮れには疲れた心と身体，それに明日への希望が入り混じる。特に今時分の夕暮れは日中の残暑も夕方には和らぎ，せみの鳴き声が勢いのあるクマゼミからツクツクホウシやあぶらぜみに取って代わる。そして，楽しかった夏休みの終焉をイメージする。夏休みも楽しかった思い出と新学期の友人との新たな交わりへの期待心のマイナスとプラスの交じり合った何ともいえない複雑な気持ちを持つ。
幼き頃には来るべき時への期待感の割合が大きかったが，最近は時の過ぎるのを惜しむ思いのほうが増えてきているような気がする。
